Smoke Free Homes

Make a Smokefree Homes Pledge!

In a bid to prevent children from taking up smoking and reducing exposure to secondhand smoke we are working with Medway Council’s Public Health Team to encourage parents/carers to make a Smokefree Homes Pledge.
Children of smokers are 90% more likely to start smoking themselves!  By removing smoking from your home and/or car you will reduce the likelihood of them becoming future smokers, and reduce secondhand smoke exposure, which is linked with conditions such as asthma, meningitis and respiratory infections.
