Welcome to St Margaret's Church of England Junior School

Welcome to St Margaret’s Church of England Junior School we pride ourselves on being one big family. A family that loves and cares for all, a family that works to ensure that all members 'Grow and achieve in God's love' whilst showing Respect, Resilience and Responsibility. When you visit our school you will witness our positive learning environment and caring ethos as soon as you walk through the door.

The staff and the governors of the school aim to serve our community by providing an excellent education for pupils of all abilities and backgrounds within the context of Christian belief and practice. We encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith. We promote Christian values and spiritual development through the experience we offer to all our pupils. We aim to provide a secure and caring environment in which our pupils develop lively and enquiring minds, confidence and skills to develop independent learning and an environment that provides the moral and spiritual framework for them to understand the world in which they live.

We are one of the oldest and largest Church of England schools in Medway with approximately 360 boys and girls, aged 7 to 11 years old located in twelve classes. These classes are arranged on a year group basis with three classes in each year group.

The school is located in spacious grounds. These are well maintained and allow us to offer a wide range of outside activities.

St Margaret's is a caring school where all children are valued and encouraged to attain the very best they can. We encourage parents to take an active interest in their children’s education and to talk to the staff about anything that may concern them. Parents are encouraged to offer their services in many different ways, both in the classroom and around the school.

As a Church of England School we enjoy strong links with the parish and church of St Margaret's, Rainham. Clergy visit the school weekly to lead Acts of Worship and major festivals are celebrated in the parish church.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school directly with any queries you may have.
