What is the intent of our MFL curriculum?

Spanish is one of the most widely spoken Languages in the world; it is the fourth most widely spoken language worldwide and it is listed in 20 countries as an official language. At St Margaret’s Junior School, we endeavour to prepare our pupils for the transition to KS3 and life beyond school therefore it is vital that they develop the skills, knowledge and understanding gained through learning a language which in turn contributes to the development of children’s oracy and literacy and to deepen their understanding of their own culture and those of others.
